Karlie Kloss

The most surprising trend to emerge from the resort collections (i.e., clothes to buy now) and spring 2015 (clothes to buy soon) is the all-weather, all-ages, naïve-yet-knowing frock in snowy lace. Could anything be prettier or, you might think, less practical? Well, think again. The LWD is a surprisingly agile item: It looks graphic over a dark tight, gamine with a knee sock, glamorous with a bare leg. It is angelic in the city and devilishly sexy at the beach. It is fashion’s most alluring new staple and, let’s face it, you probably don’t own it . . . yet. Here, on a grooving Karlie Kloss, are fifteen lovely LWDs to set your heart dancing.

wow. SO cool.

she's utterly captivating in motion.

i think this is the first of what will become MANY of these video-edits. what will they be called? "motiontorial"? "videorial"? haha.

AMAIZIG!! Lovely and cool. Gifs and videos are so fine. Showstudio did it before with some of their videos but viedoeditorials... it might be something really big <3

I love Karlie's face, and she's amazing in editorial, but I don't get her appeal for the Victoria's Secret brand because she has no hips (some people might find that to be a plus when shopping for jeans etc), but what I mean is that the difference in proportion from her hips to her waist is so small that she doesn't have the hourglass type figure...she's very straight up and down. She's for sure going to be a legend, I think as she ages she'll look more and more like Kate Moss because of her hooded eyelids, and her archy eyebrows are going to make her an icon for this fashion era, but Victoria's Secret...that's just an odd casting. Am I the only person that feels this way? Love Karlie, but...

You are not the only one! I appreciate that VS wants to showcase some different body types, but I always think Karlie looks her worst in their shots and their lingerie. I LOVE her as a HF model, she always brings something interesting and her walk/editorials are always so powerful and striking. But it's like all of her Karlie-ness gets sucked away when she works for VS. They/she try too hard to be "cute sexy" when I don't think that is really her forte. I can't wait until she is done working for them, though I know it's good exposure for her. I just don't think she needs it.

I don't understand why models have to have a specific Doutzen/Adriana/Candice etc bodytype to do VS. And even though VS imagery is not my favourite, Karlie seems to be having loads of fun with it. I don't see it as trying too hard because to me she looks like she's owning it both in pictures and in the show. In fact, I love how unpredictable Karlie for VS is and her being an angel will solidify her supermodel status even more.

I think it is a great thing to have models of all different sizes. We are not all built the same way.

I actually think that Karlie is a brilliant VS choice. Yeah, guys everywhere will never fantasize about Karlie the way they fantasize about Candice, but that's exactly the point.

Girls like Candice, their sex appeal is a completely male-defined notion of sex appeal. Whether we consciously realize it or not, the main reason their bodies are perceived as attractive is that they embody (literally) what (girls know that) guys think is sexy.

Karlie's sex appeal on the other hand rests in her confidence, to hell with what guys would rather her look like. She's tall, strong, intimidating to guys, and she refuses to be objectified. She wears lingerie for herself, not for her boyfriend. That's the image she projects.

VS is smart to adopt that image not just because of socially responsible or "feministy" reasons but because it sells. Girls want to look like Candice because girls want male attention. Girls want to look like Karlie because girls want to be cool and confident as ****.
