Ethics aside (let's leave that discussion to where it belongs), there's not much point in launching a girl at 14. More trouble than anything, especially if she's still in school. Just look at the Johannas, most recently... it'll be interesting to see if/how they manage to make it back to where they left off.

Anyway, I believe Karlie almost "accidentally" stirred up interest after shooting all these [rather age appropriate] Teen Vogue eds. I don't think the initial plan was for her to hit the runway this season already, but it's hard, and arguably foolish, not to seize an opportunity like this when it arises. She's not the first, nor the last, model to get a break this young. Hopefully they'll manage her with great care, and things will turn out alright.
