Karlie Kloss Cried When She Got Her Now-Famous Haircut

Karlie Kloss’s chop is basically the new ‘Rachel.’ The New York Times decreed it and it was so. But it turns out the model wasn’t too thrilled with it at first.

“I was totally nervous when I did it. I cried!” she told us backstage at Burberry. “But I knew I was in good hands with [hairstylist] Garren.”

“It’s funny, though, I never would have imagined it would have become such… a big deal,” Kloss said referring to the ensuing media coverage which announced her new ‘do as the ‘haircut of the year.’

“I didn’t believe it [when the press dubbed it 'haircut of the year'] and I still don’t believe it.”

Since going short, Kloss has probably been asked about little else–so we had to know: Is she sick of talking about her haircut yet?

“No… I mean it’s so flattering to know that people are interested. It’s such an incredible compliment to have someone else make that chop because they like yours. It’s a huge compliment.”
