I never "got" the buzz about Karlie over the last year or two, but I have to admit that recently I've changed my mind. Until the last couple weeks, I had really only seen some of her editorial work, and I often thought that the pictures made her look a bit harsh and even smug - which is not necessarily her fault. I'm still on the fence about her editorial work and even some of the runway shots, but in candids and backstage pictures she really lights up for me. When she grins, she is just lovely. I definitely see a smidgen of similarity to Keira Knightley in her cheekbones - and that can't be a bad thing! And I quite like what I've seen of her personal style, too.

I hope I get to see more of her "softer" and "friendlier" side in editorials in the future. Or maybe I've just had bad luck in what I've seen of her work?
