Kate King

I don't like her on the runway, but I like her in print. She has some angles that are much better than others, regardless she's like Ruby Aldridge 2.0 in my mind.

I kinda hate the pouting thing that she does on the runway. Its not cute.

Her strong finish in Paris will surely secure a spot for this season's Top 10 Newcomers :D

Most definitely. Only Emily Baker and Josephine Skriver have done better than her this season as new girls.

Does anyone know what her background is? She has such an unusual look. I know she is Canadian, but I am dying to know her ethnic background.

In hitting all the right marks for FW11, Canadian newcomer Kate King left an indelible mark via her 4 city run that saw her logging Alexander Wang, Rag and Bone, Marc Jacobs in NY; Giles Deacon in London, Prada and Dolce in Milan and then the explosion of Lanvin, Dior, Haider Ackerman, YSL, Valentino, Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu in Paris. With that crescendo Miss King has every single powerbroker in the trade gauging her future editorial and campaign worth.

Kate King (Elite)
One part Ruby Aldridge, another part Jamie Bochert, King came on strong in New York with appearances at Alexander Wang and Marc Jacobs, and kept pace in Europe. Opening Moschino and hitting most of the major runways, the Toronto native was a knockout—those cheekbones!—at directional shows like Gareth Pugh and Haider Ackermann.
