Hmmm... the more I see of her, the more she reminds me of a less attractive and much rounder version of Amber Heard, the blond lead actress of the Playboy tv series that got canceled after about 4 episodes. Anyone else see it???

They both modeled for Guess as well, doing a pastiche of Brigitte Bardot with a side of Anna Nicole Smith and heavy, HEAVY eye-makeup. And they both have that same type of generic blond beauty too... pretty without being in the least memorable. Amber has more classically beautiful features but geeze... no wonder they blend in. They look basically the same, really!

Seriously... what is this girl doing to get all this hype? She has a few Guess campaigns, she's on the cover of the worst Sport's Illustrated Swimsuit edition in recent times, she's done some editorials for GQ and a few random bikini fashion shows... what am I missing here, exactly? What's supposed to make her the next "hot young thing"?
IF she was being cast for movies or something, I could at least get the hype, since high fashion isn't everything. But... she's just your standard bikini model getting an astonishing amount of press. What the hell am I missing?!

I think Amber Heard has more model features then Kate. Kate doesn't really look like a model
I think she is going for the blonde Malibu barbie thing, she doesn't care if it looks trashy tbh. I don't think she is aiming for Vogue editorials or Chanel shows

I never considered her as a brunette but I think that would make her look really classy. Although, I don't get the "trashy" vibe from her yet. The SI cover was a bit much but I'm still willing to give her a chance. She's still really young. If she's smart she can take charge of her career now while she has this momentum going.
