An article from The sunday Telegraph, claiming Vougue Australia shoot was too provocative and suggestive for a 15 year old. I think its rubbish, I love the shoot. The caption also says her name iskate M instead of kate B, idiots...
That is so silly. I understand the concern surrounding the decreasing age of models these days, but the images in Katie's edit are in no-way 'suggestive' to warrant such an outrage.
I agree completely. My mum is quite conservative and I showed her the entire editorial and she thought it was beautiful and very age appropriate.
I cant believe Im doing but Im totally defending Aus Vogue on this subject, its one of best editorials theyve done recently and I cant believe they are getting such bad press for it!
To put it in context some people are pretty sensitive on this subject following a study from a university academic in Australia that accused the media and several major retail outlets including David Jones of sexualising children to sell them products.
It's strange that someone should attack this ed though - it seems pretty harmless. I'm sure if they tried they could have found a better example.
