MY FIRST: KATYA BYBINA AT FASHION WEEK FALL/WINTER 2017

Katya Bybina represented Russia at the Elite Model Look World Final 2016 in Lisbon, Portugal just a few months ago. This season, she walked in her first fashion shows at the Fall Winter shows in Paris - we caught up with her on what it was like.

YOU WALKED FOR RICK OWENS, VIVIENNE WESTWOOD AND LOEWE – WHAT WAS IT LIKE?
It was such a pleasure for me to take part in both these shows - everything was fantastic. The Loewe show was a personal highlight for me. I've already done some shows in Russia, but Paris is absolutely another level!


DID YOU SEE ANY OTHER ELITE MODEL LOOK 2016 FINALISTS DURING FASHION WEEK?
I saw Jill from Germany every day at the castings. I also bumped into Etienne from France in the street. It was so cool to see each other again!

WAS FASHION WEEK HOW YOU IMAGINED IT TO BE?
I realised it’s not so easy - there are so many beautiful girls out there, but it was certainly a good start. I’m going back to Paris in few days, so I'm very happy about that!


WHERE DID YOU STAY DURING FASHION WEEK?
I was living at the model apartment. It was a really nice, large French flat near the Arc de Triomphe. I was living with cool girls from Italy, Estonia, Ukraine and loads of others. We became very close, I already miss them so much. It was my first time in Paris. I'm in love with this city! I really like the streets, the architecture and little outside cafes. I hope to explore more next time.
