Top 10 Newcomers F/W 2015 - Katya Ledneva

Each show season IMA reserves one spot in its Top 10 Newcomers list for a dark horse who may not have garnered the most media attention throughout the month of fashion mayhem but whose show list indicates the emergence of a bonafide breakthrough star. Newcomer Katya Ledneva was a Russian tour de force as she smashed the runways of Milan and Paris via 26 select show bookings. The 177 cm blue-eyed blonde displayed stunning poise and sophistication while opening for Roland Mouret, Pascal Millet, and Maison Martin Margiela, and closing for Christian Dior. In between opening and closing honours, Ledneva's blue chip quotient escalated with turns on the runway at Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Valentino, Anthony Vaccarello, Givenchy, Céline, Lanvin, Sacai, and Chanel. The juxtaposition of Ledneva's perfect heart shaped face, button nose, and doll-like features with her supreme composure and versatility ensured her maximum runway relevance. Modelling since 2013, the nineteen year old Kazan Tatarstan native debuted at the Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2015 shows walking for Christian Dior. With her expressive piercing blue eyes and uncanny likeness to supermodel Sasha Pivovarova, IMA predicts huge things ahead for Ledneva in the fall out from the Fall/Winter 2015 collections.
