She needs to be poached by Women, Next or Society. ASAP! Just when Ford least expects it!
Ford will do nothing for her career. She's a star in the making.
I could only focus on her during the Balmain campaign and I didn't even have a clue of who she was. She's that good.
Wish her the best!
She's got it!
I hope she doesn't go to waste.
I really hope she gets 'poached' too. This girl has something special, a lot of potential.
I think she'd be a perfect DNA girl. I hope Ford doesnt botch this up. Her career is on the verge of catching fire if handled correctly
^^People have this kind of knee-jerk reaction to newish girls who get a first blush of success and they automatically think that if they go to IMG or Women or whomever, the new agency will make them a supermodel. No.
If an agency has been able to develop a girl by introducing them to the right people, getting booked with he right photos and landing them in the right mags, moving to another agency can sometimes be the completely wrong thing to do. Especially for a model of color, an agency move can be disastrous. We all know how much more difficult it is for MOCs to find success. If you don't have the right agent, you can really end up shooting yourself in the foot.

Kayla Scott – Ford Models (New York)
Where are you from originally? How were you discovered?
I’m from South Bronx, NY. I was discovered through an online application through Ford. They sent me an email about a week later asking me to come in. I thought it was a scam at first so I didn’t respond right away. The second time around I realized it was for real.
What has been your proudest moment so far in your modeling career?
Definitely a Vogue cover. My mom was really excited and acted like she was on the cover!
What is one thing no one would ever guess about you?
Right now I’m wearing boys underwear! Does that count?
What is one thing you would like to do next?
I would love to do an androgyny shoot. With girly guys and guyish girls put them all together.
