Kim Jones - Designer, Creative Director of Dior Men

Is he wearing a Miu Miu jacket? His Dior designs are so bad, even he won't wear them. LMAO.
he wear prada often even walks out in Prada nylon stuff at Fendi or LV shows in past to take a bow, to be fair more Creative Directors wear stuff from other brands even while working during show day and walk out in at the final, is it only ok if its Levis jeans it hink like Marc Jacobs he is very much a fashion fanboy as well as Raf was in Prada also all the time at his own brand and Dior.

also its a like alignment strategy signaling to wear the brands you respect means like i get it!!! so i am part of the same level of intelligent people lol

i think it can feel cringe to wear your own designed clothes sometimes, especially if it's not your name on the final label :-)

If I were a designer, I would design a line just for myself to create my dream wardrobe. Just like Miuccia does that. He's so lazy he just has stuff delivered. Ugh. Fantasy is dead with this guy.

I always feel that if the designer would not like to wear his/her own design, he/she is telling us that we should do the same.

I think if you are wearing something that is actually actually beautiful and captures the essence and free of logos then it’s fine.
But ancora guy wearing a logo tshirt at the last Gucci show was so cringe and cheap.

That doesn't really make sense to me, it's like... do you expect musicians to listen to their own music when they're not performing/recording? For fun?

Look at Miucia Prada, Phoebe Philo or even Hedi Slimane, we can see these designers have pride in their work so they only wear their own stuff.

Kim Jones is being considered to take over Burberry in 2025.
Makes very little sense.
It's time to be less ambitious, not aiming at high-fashion with exhorbitant prices, they should corner themselves in a nice market niche with reliable, interesting and faily-priced products, with little twists from original designs. Like a British AMI, building a local credibility to generate desirability worldwide.
Grace Wales Bonner is suitable for that.

To be honest, he would do well at Burberry. It doesn’t require much technical prowess nor creative genius. He can churn out suits, trenches, tees and load tons of sneakers

LOL x100000000000.

What even is the identity of Dior Men these days? What does it stand for? What is the aesthetic or look that separates it from the masses? Because after ten thousand collabs every year, which are pure cash grabs and nothing else by the way, I am confused as to what exactly the "Dior look" is?

At least Maria Grazia has some kind of discernible aesthetic on her own without having the need to resort to collaborating with all these random people.

Don't even get me started on KAWS. The taste level of the people working at Dior is subterranean at this point. KAWS is not cool. It gives ageing millennial and not in a good way. You just know these clothes are for the old husbands of the women that shop at Dior and want to make their husbands hip. LOL.

Is it meant to double as their CNY capsule? That snake motif has me wondering.
