Kirsten Dunst

I tried on a leather jacket much like that today. But how tight should they be? I mean that looks like it would be tight zipped up, even though she has only a thin blouse on underneath. The one I tried on seemed tight over a thin cardi and tank. Just wasn't sure how the bomber style is supposed to fit so I left it.

I don't think you want to go too big with a leather jacket in a bomber-style. While you might be able to zip it up completely and comfortably, it could swamp you. Perhaps go a size up than you would usually wear to allow you to layer underneath?

I have a vintage leather jacket which I call a bomber style as it's a bit more baggy. I can fit it over a top and a hoodie. You couldn't fit a hoodie under Kirstens. If you want to wear more layers get a bomber style with the band made of fabric rather than leather round the bottom. If not then get the tight fitting one like Kirsten (google Rick Owens or check out options on Net-A-Porter).

Overall a leather jacket is a good investment and goes with pretty much everything. But remember to make sure when it comes to tightness you can still reach up above your head and circle your arms around yourself while wearing the jacket. Also it has to fit over your boobs.

Kirsten rocks that black look! :woot:

[Aside: Thanks for the advice North and Label Basher!!! :flower: I picked a different black leather jacket than the snug one I had tried on. Basically, I went with a style similar to a Rick Owens' cut, which looks great unzipped or zipped right up. It fits nicely, and I can wear it over a light sweater and shirt (maybe not quite a hoodie), but it would not look baggy over a dress or tank either. Love it!]

There's new pictures of her circulating of her out shopping in NY as well as riding her bike in West Village on twitter! Good to see her back home.

^Found them.
Kirsten Dunst goes for a bicycle ride in the West Village with Carlos Quirarte, owner of The Smile restaurant (16th July 2011).

THe last outfit is so cute the way she put it together:heart:, love the floral blouse with the black leather, and I still want those shoes, so chic:flower:

The neckline pleats on that crisp white dress are so sweet; she looks great! And happy. :)

I hope the success of "Melancholia" at Cannes translates here as well.
