Knickers For Fall

I am just not feeling the knickerbockers/pedal-pushers/capris/clamdiggers/whathaveyous. They look like dog-butt on me no matter what the cut or fabric. NOT a good look for chicks with muscular legs, that's all. *grumble*

I read the title as "undies for Fall" also. I figured the thread would be about Knickerbox or Victoria's Secret, or even Agent Provocateur or one of the other posh underpants-and-bra merchants.

:flower: as you... why dont u try n get some velevt jodphurs.... im sure they will hav them in some thrift stores... thats where my friend sourced hers from.. n wear them with some boots... to cover up ur legs? so the idea can work for u ? hmm! but make sure u dont look to eager to jump on a horse n go hunting :ninja: ...hehe

I don't really care for this trend. :yuk:

Thanks, though, to all posters for the effort. :flower:

As You Like It,
I myself am an owner of a pair of muscular legs, and have found the perfect pair of what do we call them?? Knickers I guess. The fall just bellow of the calf and worn with stilletos look quite cute. Mine are very very thin cordueroy fabric in a creme colour.

I love these looks that have already been posted, but I'm not sure whether I'll be getting into them. I'd have to find a flattering pair.

Nah, I think I will have to let this trend lie. I simply cannot imagine myself in jhodphurs without suffering an attack of sarcastic, snorty laughter. Terry Pratchett once described jhodphurs as "those trousers that look like you're hiding a rabbit in each of your pockets."

I don't think it would work on me. It would be more like an advertisment that reads, "hey, I have a big o'l butt and thunder-thighs, and I think I am disguising them by wearing half of a pair of voluminous trousers. So, are ya fooled?"

I'm not really so much worried about covering up my legs--they're actually quite good legs, just not slim, reed-like model legs. More like avid bicyclist legs. I've got quads. hehehe

haaaaaaaaaa...
i didnt mean jodphurs as in the horse riding ones...
i meant as in the semi knocker bockers, capri esque, billowed out long short variety....
i love my quads.... they r like the only muscles i hav....

i was at my parent's house on Long Island this past weekend and i found my old grey tweedy knickers from hs in the attic...I wore them in 9th grade...so that would be...1979/80... :innocent:
with a lacy victorian style blouse, argyle socks and ballet style flats with a little kiltie...

i remember every piece exactly...i wonder if they still fit?... :innocent:
