For those of you who have seen the controversial Japanese movie "Battle Royale", you will know/recognize her. She plays the crazy psycho girl to perfection! She's actually one of my favorites, so when I saw her on the cover of Vogue Taiwan, that was exciting, and now I have to start a thread on her. :-) She also appears in many commercials in Japan - for "Pocky", "Epson", "Sony", and other things I can't remember at the moment.
Also, just an interesting tidbit: Quentin Tarantino wanted her to play "Yuri Yubari" (GoGo Yubari's twin sister) in Kill Bill Vol. 2, but due to scheduling conflicts, Kou couldn't take the part. That's such a shame, because she would have totally kicked *** in the role.
