Ksubi S/S 07.08 Sydney

Thw whole inspiration seems to come from Berlin.

I like the last leather jacketm, wonder what the price is going to be.

Nothing jumps out and grabs me and rocks my world, except the neckline in the long white getup in #14, the one above the shot of the designers. As for the three-boob dress  . May be they'll do better next time?

i adore the prints too,Lena! i don't like everything in terms of the clothes itself, but i do think some of the knitted pieces(like that one black dress)are lovely. a bit john rocha-esque but lovely nevertheless.

Has Ksubi/Tsubi always been like this? I was under the impression that it was a jeans and sunglasses line. I'm surprised by the collection, but not necessarily in a good way.

I really dislike Tsubi/Ksubi (why did they change their name?) but this is the first collection that i've seen something i like. namely the puffy scarves on the guys but that's all. the rest is the usual tongue-in-cheek gaudy stuff that they're known for. *sigh* back to the Japanese designers thread for me...

i'm surprised as well... their jeans were ok in the past, but, honestly...wow. most of it is awful. :( i did like maybe two or three pieces tho (but nothing i would buy esp. at their prices) and the men's shoes/boots were alright...

I guess someone forgot to tell the Tsubi designers that they are a denim company, and a rather tired one at that.

They are not good at designing clothes, and there is no market for the clothes they design so they should stop. I do like some of there tee-shirts and stuff (for men and women), but beyond that they are such hipsters it hurts.

nothing wrong with haphazard aperture....as long as it has some conviction.

I know it does become a bit painful. But I really like one of the designers' girl friends label - called notion of legacy. She has the same type of quirky, cool-but-trying-to-not-be-cool look...... but actually can pull it off most of the time:ninja:

I think this all looks like "cool" rave-wear sold with $$$ as it is supposed to be something great. Not really my thing.

you know this would be wonderful if the execution was better. and i also think they're trying too hard at presenting a more esoteric aesthetic but in a trendy way,if that makes any sense.

True true.

I just think that maybe the Britney t-shirt was too literal ?

I like the 4th and 5th outfits in post #12 (as well as that last shirt-dress on the barefoot model in post #14) but it's all pretty much garbage.

I feel like they knock off Romain Kremer....

but I like it
