i-Profile: Kyra Green
Meet the all singing, all dancing Kyra Green.

A few weeks ago, an inwardly anxious but outwardly beaming, Kyra Green bounced on to the America’s Got Talent stage and a nation fell in love. With siblings to the right and left of her, 212Green received four emphatic yes’, a standing ovation from their hometown crowd and a heartfelt hug from their shared idol, Mel B. It was quite the introduction. Balancing her two loves of music and modelling, the latter sees the IMG signed beauty land in London and duly light up our world. Watch on as i-D photographer Piczo’s lens disappears in to doe-eyes and is seduced by smiles.

Where’s home? New York City, USA.
Where and how were you discovered? I was visiting my daddy at his workplace when I was 13 and Jessica, a scout from IMG, was there and found me.
What’s been your career highlight to date? Going to London for the first time with my sister Tori, who is also my best friend.
What would you be doing if you weren’t a model? I am also in a band called 212GREEN with my brother and sister so that would be my focus.
What albums do you currently have on repeat? Bruno Mars’ Unorthodox jukebox and Amy Winehouse’s Back to black.
What was the last song that made you dance? Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke and Hey ya by Andre 3000.
Tell us about your America’s Got Talent experience? It was amazing to have my siblings with me. It made it a lot less scary. My body was pretty much numb the whole time! Haha! Mel B is one of my idols! I love her fierceness and think she’s a kick *** woman. Very motivating! It was also exciting that the show is in our hometown of NYC so really extra sweet! It was the largest crowd we ever performed in front of so to get a standing O early on was unreal and so encouraging!!
What’s your dream job? To be a Victoria’s Secret angel and travel the world modelling.
What posters are/were on your bedroom wall? Audrey Hepburn.
What was the last text you sent? This morning to say hi to mom and dad back in NYC.
What’s the last thing you Googled? “London underground music.”
What would your dream date be? With a sweet, artsy, funny guy who makes me laugh and have fun. Maybe he could teach me how to skateboard, I’ve been wanting to learn.
What slang word/phrase do you use the most? That sh*t cray!
What’s your favourite food? Pizza, chocolate ice cream and Oreos.
What’s the last film that made you laugh/cry? Pretty baby with Brooke shields
Any last words? I feel so lucky and I’m having a blast!!

Fashion’s never-ending cycle of renewal means there is a constant stream of exciting new talent making their mark on the industry. Behind the scenes, a new generation of creators is innovating in hair, makeup, styling and creative direction, bringing new ideas to the table while paying homage to fashion’s strongest visual tenets. The up & comers of this era unite for this Models.com editorial featuring a lineup of notable new models from New York’s top agencies. These fresh faces are at the very start of their modeling journey and are captured beautifully by an illustrious set of talents whose names you should commit to memory. Photographer Jd Forte has assisted Steven Meisel and David Sims, honing his own style as he learned from photography’s masters. Hair stylist Shinya Nakagawa worked alongside Guido Palau while makeup artist Yumi Lee serves as first assistant for the legendary Stephane Marais. Set designer Nick des Jardins is a talented alum of Mary Howard Studio and stylist Jessica Margolis has crafted looks for the likes of Agyness Deyn and Emily Blunt. This group of young creatives comes together to craft a one of a kind editorial project and homage to the masters.
