Lady Helen Taylor (Helen Marina Lucy Taylor, née Windsor; born 28 April 1964) is a British representative for the Italian fashion house Armani and the Italian jeweler Bulgari. A first cousin once removed or more specifically a second niece of Queen Elizabeth II, she is 27th in the line of succession to the British throne.
Early life and youth
Born at Coppins, a country house in Iver, Buckinghamshire, Lady Helen is the only daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Kent. Between 1987 and 1991 Lady Helen worked with the art dealer Karsten Schubert and confessed in a television interview she turned down representing Damien Hirst. She was educated at St Mary's School, Wantage. In her youth, she was tagged with an unfortunate nickname of Lady Helen Melons due to her figure and was often referred to as the wild child of the Windsors as a result of her active social life and choice friends. One of her friends, Olivia Channon died of a drug overdose at the home of another of her friends, Count Gottfried von Bismarck. Lady Helen has been quoted as saying her death and the death of another friend served as a wake-up call to her about her own mortality and lifestyle choices.[1]
Marriage and children
She was styled The Lady Helen Windsor until her marriage, on 18 July 1992, to Timothy Taylor, an art dealer and the eldest son of Commander Michael Taylor, RN. They married at St. George's Chapel, Windsor.
Lady Helen is now styled Lady Helen Taylor. She and her husband have four children, who immediately follow Lady Helen in the line of succession:
