But with eyebrows or none: Lakshmi is always a dream in Tisci's creations. It's a shame she hasn't done more shows this season but if it's her own decision, I'm happy to hear she's enjoying herself and taking some time off. And anyway, as long as she shows up at Givenchy, everything's alright.

I find it sort of unsurprising that she isn't walking everything under the sun this season - the bigger girls are enjoying a well needed break from shows and its all about being choosy rather than being everywhere. The rules have changed this season - a model on the level of Lakshmi doesn't need to do a full show season in order to get exposure and work. As much as we love seeing the girls walk its really all about getting the exposure that leads to editorials and campaigns. When you already have the kind of instantaneous recognition that is going to land you great work either way there is no need to put oneself through the annoyance (and trust me its kind of an annoyance - long hours, lots of flying, lots of waitng around doing nothing) of doing shows. I think its smarter for the big girls to sit back, relax and let the newbs handle the pressure.
