Mit 27 Jahren ist Lakshmi Menon eigentlich ein alter Hase auf den Mode-Parkett. Doch die schöne Inderin zählt zu den Newcomern des Jahres. Der Grund: Erst 2006 begann sie mit dem Modeln in Indien. Aber das gleich mit Erfolg, denn nur ein Jahr später erschien sie auf dem Cover der ersten indischen Vogue. Gleich darauf lief sie Schauen für große Designer wie Jean-Paul Gaultier, Hermès, Carolina Herrera, Diane von Furstenberg, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren und Vera Wang. Höhepunkt ihrer bisheringe Karriere: Inez van Lamsweerde und Vinoodh Matadin fotografieren sie für eine Givenchy-Kampagne mit Kirsten Owen und Lara Stone.
