Lanvin Resort 2022 & Menswear S/S 2022 Paris

This collection is like Gucci's lost sister and its tribute to Chanel proves that Virginie has no competitor.

I think Lanvin is the only house that success in milking the 2000s nostalgia without looking date (unlike Blumarine). Because they selling it through the presentation not the clothes itself.

As for the collection, the strongest look women look is look 7 and for the men is look 11. The rest of the collection is quite safe, very merchandising. But it's resort so. The new JL look weird and the bags are quite conservative. I see you Bruno with looks 35 & 36.

The shoes department need some serious talk because none of it look flattering at all.

Another dead brand. But I enjoy what they've done with the logo — it actually looks tasteful, and I can imagine wearing it, since it looks like a nice pattern. Fendi and Versace could take a hint here.

I don’t think it’s very cohesive but the lookbook make it look like it.
I must say that I feel like Bruno doesn’t know where to go and it seems like he is waiting for that big commercial success to decide which direction to take.

This feels very MiuMiu.
There are some great things, he should continue to look at Alber’s work in terms of dressmaking. The coats are good. A lot of things are good but the touches of irony are somehow too much.

He needs to allow himself to just do beauty.

There are a few things that look expensive...but that's not to say they are particularly well-designed. At least it is not as pathetic as Saint Laurent and Valli, just picking Chanel's breadcrumbs.

I don't understand because I felt like he had found an aesthetic last year that was his and at the same time Lanvin's (Alber) aesthetic. But the two last collections make no sense to me and screams "I want to please the Millenials".

The styling, no comment.

I only like the short pink coat...because it´s just a rip-off from Cristóbal Balenciaga coats!

This guy just doesn't have any direction. Of well, I wish him the best.

I like it.

It looks expensive and luxurious for the most part. The men's denim and generally the pieces shot outside can go. They're trying too hard.

I wish he would amp this up a bit more. this proposition doesn't seem as confident as it should be in terms of direction.

I dislike the lack of direction or concept here, very merchandise indeed, like a "pick if you are lazy" type of clothing.
That said, I confess that overall I really enjoy this, it is just pretty with no over the top gimmick, interesting enough to be not too bland as Armani and co., contemporary enough, yet not too childish. I'd personally wear a lot of this.

So sick and tired of this instagram y2k aesthetic. This is a historic house with archives full of exquisitely made garments yet he chooses to make some cheap looking rags that you can find on depop. Imagine what Galliano could do with this brand.

Well as a millenial I'm not pleased lol
I don't think there's much direction here, like I wouldn't look at it and think oh that's Lanvin like one could with Alber's designs. There's not much differentiating from other weak brands. I'm sick of the y2k, 90s, 80s stuff. This house was around during the 1910s,20s, 30s...if a designer could modernize some of those beautiful archives and bring back that spirit I'd love that. He tried to bring back those original Lanvin gowns last collection but made the references too literal and it wasn't good. Galliano would actually be better for this brand since the lanvin aesthetic is his strong suit. I'm sick of these heritage brands becoming "in name only" to line some billionaire's pocketbook
