Lanvin S/S 2015 by Tim Walker | the Fashion Spot

Lanvin S/S 2015 by Tim Walker

First thought, do they give up medicine? but then I guess it is 'different'

It was a cute concept last season, but they need to go back to Meisel. Immediately.

I read the title and gagged then I saw the pictures and gagged again. This should have been Olga by Meisel.

UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH.

Is that an uber-photoshopped Violeta Sánchez?

I get that it's Tim Walker, and the concept is ok and all but I'm not a fan of this. I'd have preferred a bit more quirk like in his W story.

Lanvin also feels very young all of a sudden.

This collection was one of my favourites of the season and I was hoping this would have transpired to by one of my favourite campaigns of the season but sadly with Tim's photography this fell flat - the same concept as last season, which again was a complete and utter bore, maybe the quote 'if it ain't broke then don't fix it' was a mantra but clearly here it is broke so please fix it.

Understandably they possibly wanted a fresh set of eyes visualising their collections but Meisel did a much better job than Tim Walker has, he's not a photographer I'm a fan of generally speaking and this is an illustration as to why.

The concept reminds me of the Vogue Festival photo booth idea 'oh look I'm wearing Lanvin, lets take a snap..' 'my awful orange hair makes me look like Kel dropped Orange Soda on me! now say LANVIN!'.

Meisel could have done something festive that's not immediately tacky. Meisel could have done something classy without it being boring. Meisel could have made this amazing collection stand out and not fall flat on these people. Meisel would have shot the finest models, not these hipsters and socialites.

Really Lanvin? These people are soooo not you.

Love Tim Walker & Lanvin but this is just  ...

Maybe if it was just Pat and Anna, but i'll say what i said last season (cause this is practically the same campaign); leave the quirks to other brands and give me pure grown up french chic!!!

Fantastic. Casting, styling, make-up, everything. Lanvin is about interesting, eccentric and captivating people, and Tim's remarkable ability to capture characters is simply perfect for the brand. Pure love

lol...when i saw the first pic, I thought it was Stella Tennant;-)))

Anyway, I don't know who they are and I have no idea why but I kind of like it...

If they really wanted to go this direction they should have just stuck with Pat and Anna because their shots are the only ones that are working.

The shots with the black&white portraits are very beautiful and fun. However I'm a bit disappointed. I love Tim Walker but really Meisel+Lanvin is a match made in heaven. The collections were perfect, especially the women's, I expected something very sultry and mesmerizing like they did in the past. An outstanding campaign like Iselin's SS09 campaign for their 125th anniversary would've been amazing. But I guess this is closer to the Lanvin family spirit, the mother-daughter essence of the house. Hence the family portraits. It definitely works, and it's a good campaign just not what I wanted. Stil it's very upbeat and refreshing compared to other campaigns and I love the diverse casting.

FAMILY AFFAIR: Lanvin celebrates model offspring in its spring campaign. Inspired by its historic mother-daughter logo, the French house — which marked its 125th anniversary last year — invited veteran models Violetta Sanchez, Pat Cleveland and Kirsten Owen to pose with their daughters Luz Godin, Anna Cleveland and Billie Rose Owen.

Its men’s campaign nods to family ties of a different sort, featuring siblings Callum and Haydn Rockall, and DJ partners Joshua Quinton and Andy Bradin, among others.

“I like that the campaign doesn’t only have images, it has a story,” Lanvin creative director Alber Elbaz said. “Every time we do a family shoot, it feels like we’re going to their place: We feel like visitors.”

The women’s campaign will break in March fashion magazines, while the men’s images will be seen first in L’Uomo Vogue in January. The print ads will be complemented by a video released mid-February on Lanvin.com and all the Lanvin social media platforms.

The print campaign was shot by Tim Walker, with creative direction by Ronnie Cooke Newhouse and Stephen Wolstenholme of House + Holme. It was styled by Jacob K, with hair by Julien d’Ys, makeup by Val Garland and set design by Emma Roach.

It was nice last season but doing it again it´s killing the concept imo.
I wish that Lanvin would hop in the celebrity bandwagon and hire Emma Stone...

So it was Violeta indeed. Unrecognizable to say the least. And is that blonde in #1 Kristen? Pat doesn't look like her in that first shot either. Very weird.

They photoshopped them to death.
