Lanvin S/S 2024 Paris

According to Vogue, Shukla’s goal with Lanvin is to create two streams of income (AKA cash cows) that can support and finance the mainline collections: Lanvin Lab and the accessories. This season is apparently a palette cleanser/reset for the next creative director, who will appointed in December.

The next creative director will really have to be able to say what their Lanvin is from the first show/campaign. Sialelli's weakness was that he changed his aesthetic twice in four years (probably the suits' fault).

Somehow i thought they weren't gonna be hiring a creative director and was going to focus on their collabs. Hmm even if its unlikely i somehow think alessandro michele will be a great fit for them. They also need to bring back their classic sneakers, just can't find anything like them anymore.

I beg to differ on the Alessandro Michele part… his designs aren’t elegant enough for Lanvin, too maximalistic…

And they need to bring back more than the classic sneakers… they need a more streamlined version of the old rendition of the Happy bag, the Sugar bag line…

Unpopular opinion: bring back Cristina Ortiz (kidding not kidding)

At this point any random free agent would be good for the brand… Hannah McGibbon, Stefano Pilati (that would be a real dream), Natacha Ramsey-Levi…
