hey! ok, i am having shoe problems. i havnt worn leather or suede or anythign like that for a while now, but lately it has gotten alot harder. there are practicaly NO nonleather shoes. i cant imagine going back to wearing leather and suede, but i dont know where find non animal shoes. also, the times i do find non animal shoes, they are not fashionable at all. plus, all the really cute shoes are leather, which make sit that much harder. does anyone else have this problem? if anyone has any advice or anything it was be great if you responded! thanks so much!

But if that is your final resort try Stella McCartney's footwear. At least aesthetically feasible rather than ridiculous hippy wear. Or shoes reminiscent of rebel armies

well, i dont want to wear leather because i am a vegetarian and i dont think it would be right to say im against eating aninmals but then wear them on my feet... its just been getting hard finding shoes latly so thats why i was asking for any responses. and thanks for suggesting stella, i love her shoes and designs, its just too expensive for me. im looking more along the steve madden prices. but thanks anyway!

steve madden, chinese laundry, guess, and just about any place in your local mall makes non leather shoes. Look for pleather, leather-like, man made leather, synthetic leather...

I have a harder time finding leather shoes than non-leather shoes.

And be careful if buying sneakers - alot are made from leather nowadays. Chucks are always a safe bet, but Converse Weapons and other performance shoes are full-grain leather.

I'm a near-100% vegetarian when it comes to food (organic, mostly), but I have no philosophical problems with wearing leather.
