I've invited fashion theorist and costume historian Ingrid Loschek to my "fashion semiotics" course at the University of Augsburg to hold a lecture on "the imagery of fashion" today. She'll speak about what communicative mediation clothes need to become fashion (catwalk, photography, stars, displays, and so on).
