Is there something about the use of LED lights in fashion accessories?
Mihara Yasuhiro used them for the belts, while italian Invicta's iLed bag seems to be quite successful, Nokia developped a phone (3220) that can write messages in the air with a special led-cover... plus, eBay is plenty of these kind of stuff!

What do you think?

Took me a minute to figure out that you were talking about LED lights.....I think the reason it is becoming more and more apparent is the quest to try and figure out how technology and fashion can mix and complement each other....definately something that is evolving at the moment

I saw the belts at a kiosk at the mall and laughed..........sorry, but I think they are tacky.....there were also necklaces:ninja:

There was a girl at the latest trade show with a belt like those and she was also wearing a hot pink cowboy hat......my bitchy friend said the belt was to keep you from looking up at the hat:lol:

oh no. I went to a techno party last year and there was this guy with LED-lights attach to his top. I'm still not over it

Thanks for all members posting fantastic photos, but PLEASE ADD PHOTO CREDITS.

(sorry again, the first two pics come from a TFS post without credits, the second is from invicta.it, the latest from Google)

I think is soooo tacky too, i was just reporting ;)

I wouldn't be willing to write it off....to me using LED lights is just a forerunner to the things that are becoming more and more common like the chanel show (or was it a tradeshow?) with the tv on a belt.....

the belt was to keep you from looking up at the hat....
i love it!...

From the post mentioned:

Lagerfeld Gallery FW05

Those Lagerfeld ones were decent, they were mounted in fur and leather and stuff so that balanced out the tacky.

I saw a pair of lucite wedges with LED in the heels, so they would start flashing and stuff whenever the wearer took a step. Unbelievably tacky, I dont think Lagerfeld or Gaultier could make them cool.

A girl in my school wore her LED belt almost everyday, it was so unbelievably tacky. It's like those belts witht he big buckles that say your name.

I used to wear sneakers with leds that flashed when I took a step when I was like 8... I hope big designers dont start doing these.
