In a collection that struck a balance between dressy-with-a-twist and all-out glamour, Lela Rose’s best looks for pre-fall captured both points of view. She chose metallic stamping for gowns and long, full skirts in silver and gray that she paired with an easy white jacquard pullover.
Fiery red looks, including a floral print inspired by artist Michael DeLucia, were a casual counterpoint to dressier silhouettes. And Rose’s red off-the-shoulder flared leotard-top dress embodied what the designer calls “table tops” — the part of a look one sees above the table line while dining.
