Lemaire Menswear F/W 2023.24 Paris

While I like Lemaire, their recent shows (Fall 2020 and onwards) are so frustrating to watch on video, because each model has their own weird individual path. At least, this video cuts the more unwatchable shots from the livestream.

Luxe and effortless, Lemaire keeps offering us the modern Parisian look without any typical cliché.

The menswear is on par with womenswear this season. I want the entire collection as my wardrobe.

I also like the cast, this is street casting done right. They look very believable in these clothes like when you saw them in the street this is what they wear.

Haven't felt the past few collections but this...:heart::heart::heart:

So many gorgeous pieces but whoever styles this.. you killed it! grey on grey and the greens that are so good they should only be with other greens, the one pair of red tights, this random vest doing the job of a winter sunset, this look?, you get it, yu-mmy.

I will ask though, why put handsome men (or people in general) in elastic pants? this is a grown man, you might as well give him a pacifier. Buttons were great, let's reignite appreciation for things that fit you right and our bodies synching well with clothes, and not being so out of our control that only an elastic can cope with us!

Also, bag in pic 2: you'll soon be home!

It’s fantastic! Probably one of the best of the season. It’s great to see them tone down the excessive layering from previous seasons.

Plus they looked cute when they took their bows.

He’s my new Dries. Everything I loved about him in the past (the cut, the fabrics & its movement, and of course his color palette, and the overall mood his clothes would instill when wearing it), I see & FEEL here in Lemaire’s line. And that includes the women’s line, too. I can see it in the images online, and I know it’ll translate equally at retail.

Any one of these folks can walk right off the runway and back into real lives, and people would see a style-savvy person, but not a fashion-show model, and that’s always a big win for me.

While I still get that feeling in Dries' womenswear, I agree that his menswear has lost its way as of late. Lemaire really fills most of that gap for me (sans Dries' iconic approach to colour).

You guys took the word out of my mouth. This is near perfection for me. Really, with this, who needs LV/ Dior/ Givenchy/ Gucci etc anymore?

Although I dont see how grown men can’t be wearing elastic pants, it doesn’t look juvenile on him, and the merits of elastic pants are there

They all look like the best dressed person in an Éric Rohmer film and that’s the greatest compliment I can bestow upon a collection. They are at their peak, no doubt about it, the beautiful movement of these clothes comes through even in stills, both casting and styling are just flawless and even the venue is beautifully lit.

With all the expected stunts happening during couture week and celebrities desperately fighting over who made the most dramatic entrance (as seen at Schiaparelli), I can only but appreciate a house such as Lemaire whose very presentation emphasizes on the nonchalance of their clothing and where approachability is an important factor in the appeal of their brand.
