Oh, I adore her--physically, anyhow. Shame about the attitude problem. She doesn't look like the type.

Don't let the angelic face and the puppy purse fool you, Lera Sheremata, the green eyed Ukrainian who opened (or was it closed?) the Marc Jacobs show acted like a certified maniac at fashion week. First she got arrested for smoking in the airplane bathroom. The flight attendants caught her TWICE and then had to call the police. She was told off and released immediately. But that's just the beginning. Lera's nuttiest incident on record happened at the Prada show. We hear that Lera was set to open the show (a la Sasha P and Gemma W in the past--a very big deal) but when dressed in the first look Lera told the assistants that she didn't like it (GASP!!!!) and so they took her off.

Somehow I find it hard to believe the Prada story. I mean, I believe that bit about her not liking the outfit, but not the part about missing out on the opening the show. I think she was never meant to open the show, or maybe was scratched for unrelated reasons. People like to exaggarate.

OMG, I can't believe you think it is cool that she "spoke her mind".
If this is true, it is extremely unprofessional and rude; she is working for that designer. Do you know how many models would love to do this show? It is unbelievable that she would be so arrogant and ungrateful.

I love her eyes...the green is so strong. Anyway I find her antics a bit humorous and it's possible she thought giving her opinion about the outfit wouldn't jeopardize her position in the show...
 
I wish I could make a video about Lera Sheremata at Prada called When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong.

What she did was stupid, unprofessional and silly but damn if it wasn't gangsta. She needs to quit modeling and join G-Unit.

I mean technically hat first outfit was hideous :ninja: but you never say that.

She wasn't arrested for smoking in the bathroom on the plane, that's an exaggeration. I've spoken with a number of girls at Supreme who vouched she wasn't arrested.

I know one of the makeup artists who worked Prada. He told me back during fashion week about this model but it just recently clicked that it was Lera. He told me she was supposed to open the show but was sent away because she kept wiping off the makeup. I wonder if she did both.
 
^Your version seems closer to reality than all I've read about her been arested etc. At least it sounds more relevant as when I've seen her in Paris she was far away from looking like a troublemaker :blush:

ETA: nevermind, I just saw your post in the smoking thread :flower:
the police were involved but there was no arrest or anything.

This sounds very plausible. Perhaps she just did that and it all just sort of spiraled out of control in terms of the rumor. Rumors are so much like playing telephone, the first person can say "so and so got a little angry" and by the time the rumor reaches the 5th or 6th person its more like "so and so got so angry that they threw a cellphone at the designers head and had to be forcibly ejected from the show." Everything spirals and by the time things are over the rumor has already become fantastical.

For all we know the makeup irritated her eyes and she was trying to clean it off.

She's still my lil gangsta though ^_^

dunno about this story at all and will probably never know
coz there are so much liers, exageration etc.

what I know comes from myself, this rumour suits her well, very well, I LOVE when people don't act the way other people would have guessed ! just love that :kiss:
