Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton is a British Formula One racing driver and was the 2008, 2014 and 2015 World Champion. He was born on January 7, 1985 in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, and began karting at the age of eight. At the age of ten he approached McLaren F1 boss Ron Dennis to tell him he wanted to race for him and three years later he was signed to the McLaren Driver Development Programme; he became the youngest ever driver to secure a contract that lead to a Formula One drive. Lewis now races for Mercedes. In 2009 he was awarded an MBE and in 2014 he was named BBC Sports Personality of the Year. He was in a seven year on/off relationship with Nicole Scherzinger; the pair were engaged but broke-up in February 2015. He now lives in Monaco.​
