Liberty Ross

^ The mother of Snow White is what it says

Kristen Stewart's parents in "Snow White and the Huntsman" have been revealed. Sharing the news was producer Palak Patel who announced that Noah Huntley and Liberty Ross are set to star as King Magnus and Snow White's mother respectively.

"Please welcome Liberty Ross to the #SWATH cast as Snow White's mother," so Patel wrote on his Twitter, before adding in a following tweet, "Noah Huntley will play the King (aka Snow White's father) in #SWATH."

Huntley is known for his role in 2002's British horror movie "28 Days Later". He played Mark in the film, opposite Cillian Murphy and Naomie Harris. Meanwhile, Ross is an English model who has recently been cast in Madonna's upcoming drama "W.E."

"Snow White and the Huntsman" presents a twisted story of the classic tale. While the Grimm story describes Snow White as a lovely-singing princess, this movie features the female royal as a tough lady. She fights and defends herself against the Evil Queen under the guidance of the huntsman, played by Chris Hemsworth.

Previously, Charlize Theron has been attached to be part of the Royal family in this Universal re-imagined fairytale movie, playing the Evil Queen. Additionally, "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" actor Sam Claflin has also been cast as the Prince Charming.

A directorial debut from Rupert Sanders, the movie is due to hit U.S. theaters on June 1, 2012

I didn't know she was cast in W.E?! I'm excited to see her on the promotional tours.

The 33-year-old model epitomises the aristocratic, bohemian edge that makes British style so unique, and has starred in campaigns for Christian Dior, Jimmy Choo, Ungaro, Jil Sander and Garrard.

Q Best British designers?
A I love McQueen. I’ve always been a huge fan, and what Sarah Burton’s doing there is so great. What a challenge for her to take on. And I have loved Vivienne Westwood for years. On my 16th birthday, my mum took me into her shop and I got an amazing high-waisted black velvet envelope skirt, with a black velvet corset. I still have them.

Q Best thing on British TV?
A Fawlty Towers always makes me feel really cosy and brilliant.

Q Favourite British filmmaker?
A My husband, Rupert Sanders. I’m his number-one fan, and now he has made his first feature, Snow White And The Huntsman, with Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron, I get the feeling there’ll be a lot more people in the Rupert Sanders fan club!

Q Favourite shop?
A Harrods, because it’s so British, and Fortnum & Mason. That kind of grandeur just doesn’t exist in Los Angeles, where I have been living for six years. We’ve been nesting in the Hollywood Hills with our daughter [Skyla], who’s seven, and our little one [Tennyson], who’s five. I love LA, but London is my home. I feel grounded here.

Q Best thing you’ve seen on a British stage?
A Jerusalem at the Apollo Theatrein London, with Mark Rylance. I was struck by the vast spectrum of age groups in the audience, and everyone was laughing so hard. They all completely got it because the way it’s written is very modern.

Q Best British musician?
A My dad [Ian Ross] started Radio Caroline in the 1960s, so music is in my blood. At the moment I love Florence + the Machine, and this amazing talent, called Gabriel Bruce. He’s edgy and beautiful and has this unbelievable voice.

Q Best place to escape?
A Cornwall. We got married at my uncle’s house in Port Eliott. We have a fantasy of one day having a little bolthole there, which we can escape to. There’s something incredibly magical about Cornwall.

Q Most British memory?
A Piling in the back of my aunt’s VW camper van, with itchy woollen blankets.

Q What makes you proud to be British?
A Design, culture, cuisine, music, heritage, architecture, the Queen… It’s the full package. I don’t think there is anywhere else as dynamic and compelling.

Q British guilty pleasure?
A Cornish clotted cream. I’m big on desserts, and I love a cream tea.

Q The best thing about Britain?
A Our individuality. The UK is a great place to create and express yourself. We breed such incredible talent because, as a nation, we embrace individuals, and allow them to be something.

^ Amazing shot. With fashion embracing older models, and Liberty only at 34?, I hope we continue to see more of her. She is still as stunning and seductive as ever.

I loved this piece on her on makeup artist Georgina Graham's Tumblr comparing her to a David Lynch muse.

In my opinion David Lynch has the best taste in women. As seen above: Isabella Rossellini, Sherilyn Fenn, Madchen Amick, Lara Flynn Boyle & Laura Harring His aesthetic has most definitely shaped my aesthetic: beautiful, glamourous, exotic & a little on the dark side not to mention my love of his nostalgic Americana. Strong women with strong makeup. I remember when Twin Peaks was on tv & I was really little, too young to watch it but snuck in & couldn’t tear myself away from the screen. Now I have the entire box set and am still scared by Bob. Twin Peaks was a gateway for me to all of Lynch’s work and now I am a fan of his music. The top 2 images are a shoot that I did the makeup for V magazine with photographer David Dunan shot in the amazing showrooms of House of Hackney & styled by Raquel Garcia. As you can see the model is the beautiful model & actress Liberty Ross. My beauty inspiration for the makeup was lifted straight out of Lynch land & is my tribute to his women. I wanted to keep Liberty looking like a modern cinematic femme fatale. I am sure you will want to know what is on the lips: I used MAC Cosmetics Russian Red lipstick & Cherry Lip Pencil. I lined the lips first, filled them in with the lipstick using a brush & then (here is a good tip) I covered my index finger with the lipstick & asked Liberty to make what I call ‘kissy face’ which is basically an exaggerated pout & I pushed my lipstick covered fingertip in to the centre of the lip for added intensity. Liberty is one of the most beautiful people (inside & out) that I have ever worked with. There are rumours that Mr Lynch has retired from film, but I say he should cast Liberty as his next leading lady.
