^pheww. this is my first time on her thread because i am completely bored and this sure didn't help.

i was terrified for an instant because i know how fans get but i don't see how she ever landed a test shoot or even representation never mind any eds, campaigns, or beauty contracts.

on tfs models' fans always freak out if what your say isn't complete glowing praise, it's kind of messed up actually.

that being said, I think lily cole is sublimely beautiful. I first saw her picture when I was 17 and I couldn't believe how pretty she was. still looking at her today I think she's gorgeous. we all have different tastes, it's okay.

^ I agree with you. Personally, I'm not the biggest Lily Cole fan at the moment but she was (and still is to a degree) ethereally beautiful although I can understand where a lot of this criticism is coming from. Between the ages of about seventeen to twenty she was honestly one of the most incredible editorial girls I've ever seen. Her look had a huge impact upon fashion and modeling as a whole. I recommend looking up her editorials shot by Tim Walker.

yeah I wish she'd stayed with her natural beauty, she's only 22 but this stringy black hair isn't really doing it for her so I'm not as big a fan of her current look these days either. but her face is still really gorgeous so hopefully she'll go back to her natural appearance soon

I think she's still gorgeous. She's the most dollfaced of the dollfaced models. I do agree that the black hair isn't doing her any favours though.

she lost her appeal with red hair. I think blond hair would look much better on her than black. I am such a fan, but i have to admit that she looks kind of washed out at the moment

I'm naturally blonde and very pale but I went through the same phase in high school. I dyed by hair and brows black and it looked so terrible and fake so I guess I can't be judging!

I thought it looked good then but it certainly didn't hahaha

I wasn't that impressed by her at the very start of her career, but she blossomed from being a dimpled schoolgirl into a beautiful woman, captivating in her editorial work, if not in her candids.

am i the only one here who LIKES lily's new 'do? i think she looks great in the black, helps give her face a little more definition and seem more serious, although she still manages to look like a doll at the same time. definitely think blonde would've been much worse, making her look even MORE washed-out... :|
but, that's just my word :)

I just love to imagine Lily's face if she were reading this long discussion about her hair. It'd probably be something like:  wtf? ...

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. ;)

Lily has never been my favorite, but I do like her. And I've always loved her red hair, so I hope she goes back to it!:p

Come on people it's just for a movie and that can take months to film nevermind any reshoots. She's just embracing the change and she may never have had a completely different colour before. What is she supposed to do, hide in a cave till the movie is done lol.

I think bright colours work well against the black hair - I just wish the ends didn't look so out-of-condition.
