Lily's the belle of "St Trinian's".
With brains as well as beauty, Lily Cole secured a string of straight A's at A-Level and a place at Cambridge University.
So, it is only fitting that for her first major movie role, the 18-year-old supermodel should revert to type - landing the part of a preppy school girl.

As much as I love Lily, I know Kings College (where she is going I think) applications can be easily swayed by a little..financial insentive (or, as rumour has it, if your gay but thats a different story) but she is very clever so I dont expect they need pursuading. Another piece of gossip is the students at Kings already dislike like her apparently, because of something she said in a magazine interview about getting p*ssed off with a load of freshers. But then again she is very beautiful and girls always get jealous so it may have something to do with that!PrinceOfCats said:Not surprising she was accepted by Cambridge - another thick, rich-girl for Cambridge's growing collection. I'm willing to bet good money on her graduating with a 2:1.

At those pictures posted bu Larien and JR are so gorgeous thank you

Model Lily Cole was one of the last-minute additions to the cast of the St Trinian's remake, which officially began shooting last month. Cole was instantly thrown into the thick of the action, dressed up in a schoolgirl outfit for a scene being shot in London's Trafalgar Square yesterday.
Other late additions include Lena Headey, Celia Imrie and Infamous star Toby Jones. They join a cast that already includes Colin Firth, Stephen Fry and the comedian Russell Brand. Rupert Everett headlines in the dual role as the school's officious headmistress and her dissolute brother. The film is directed by Oliver Parker and Barnaby Thomas.
The St Trinian's stories began life as cartoons by Ronald Searle. The first film, The Belles of St Trinian's, was released in 1954 and spawned three sequels.

You're absolutely right - as a Cambridge student it annoys me to no end when financial clout allows students to get admitted, especially over others with better academic records and smaller budgets. My only consolation is that their money probably paid for my scholarshipPrinceOfCats said:Not King's - they're the red college. However, Lily Cole used her financial clout well before admissions... (Smart girl, in that respect.) She payed Latymer to get her in. (Otherwise known as private schooling.) Interestingly, a recent survey finally proves that privately schooled students are a third less likely to get a first than state school students with equivalent grades. What's new?
