As one of Milan’s most important shows, Gucci is watched not only for Alessandro Michele’s designs, but also for the influential model selection made by casting directors Barbara Nicoli and Leila Ananna. With 70 looks, the expansive show often serves to introduce the world to a wealth of new faces: Each season Nicoli and Ananna showcase talent from across the globe featuring a range of ages, backgrounds, genders, and even the occasional buzzed-about artist to keep things interesting.

Lily Nova has a face fit for a Renaissance painting and an adorable demeanor to go with it. Spotted by scouts while she was attending a show at Adelaide Fashion Festival with her mother, Nova came full circle today when she made her Gucci debut. A fan of fellow Aussies like Gemma Ward and Miranda Kerr—who she cites as a role model—Nova could be the next Australian catwalker to watch.
