Lisanne De Jong

It is burberry. are you crazy??? it is great. And she is a new girl. everyone shoots lookbooks. you guys have no idea....it is NOT bad at all for her career!!!!!

Yeah, I don't see anything wrong with doing lookbook.. Actually with any lookbook brand's like this. I guess you're never estabilished to lookbook be something bad for your career, lots of much bigger models are doing this and I'd be even happier in Lisanne's case ( and I am! What's more, she seems to suit the brand so well..:heart: ) that someone appreciated her look and her work to work for brand like Burberry.

yes shooting a look book for a big brand like burberry is definitely not a bad thing. brands like this always have important teams photographers and stylists working on this. i also heard that she shot something else for burberry and that they love her!

nobody ever said it was BAD...we just said that when she's shooting a lookbook she apparently didn't have anything better to shoot at the time like a campaign or editorial...

and letting a girl do a lookbook (doesn't matter for which designer) is not the best way to keep her exclusive

i totally disagree. with all of the new girls that are coming out every six months, her agents need to keep her busy working with the best stylists and photographers that they can. doing a look book is not in anyway something that is a step down for a girl in lisanne's position. from what i know doing the look book for burberry lead to doing a more important job for them.

^I think I read somewhere that Roversi shot it :p.

that's exactly what I meant...apparently she had the time to shoot this....

All this over a lookbook?

Yes, she's has shot some amazing campaigns this season. However, for a new girl, it's unlikely that there's a ton of money coming in for those campaigns. This is no different than girls like Daiane, Jamie and Olga doing everything for Marc Jacobs: it's about building relationships with clients (especially with big names). Letting Lisanne work for Burberry seems sound to me, since she wasn't able to work with the client during shows this season, due to exclusivity.

Not to mention I've seen quite a few lookbooks/resort/pre-fall presentations, that pay better than some big campaigns. :p

That being said, I think everyone has had there say...let's move on, shall we? :flower:

Lol. I don't really mind that she did the look book. In my eyes she has the perfect look for Burberry anyways. Not all girls have to be kept 100% exclusive. Like YAARS said, it's all about networking. Rather than her "not having anything bigger to book", it's clear that she keeps busy. That to me is a bit more important.

^ I second emotion! nice point yaars! :flower:

Hey guys! Lisanne likes to read her tfs thread :woot: She told me that's it nice to know what people think about her & she's happy that we like her! so say hi to Miss De Jong who is in London at the moment! :D Go Lisanne!!!! :woot:

Meet the New Girl: Lisanne de Jong
Lisanne de Jong might look like the average blonde-haired, blue-eyed newbie that floods the industry season after season, but this rookie is to be taken seriously. After signing with Elite New York earlier this year, the statuesque Dutch teen hit all of casting director Russell Marsh's spring shows in New York: BCBG Max Azria, Hervé Léger, Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti, and Max Azria. In Milan she was placed on exclusive for Prada, and then walked for Miu Miu and Balenciaga in Paris. Booking top runway shows is great, but booking campaigns is what sets a newcomer and rising star apart. Say hello to the newest face of Balenciaga, shot by Steven Meisel; Celine, shot by Jurgen Teller; and Burberry eyewear. Looks like we’ll be seeing a lot of this one.
