Okay. I first heard about her last summer but since winning BBC's Sound of 2009, Victoria Hesketh aka Little Boots has been popping up literally everywhere I look, so I think a thread is in order.
There's been sooo much press about her lately, but to get you started, check out her her myspace & official site.

While I think she is definitely overhyped (this is unfortunately always gonna happen when you win Sound Of 2009) I do like her cool Japanese "toy", the Tenori-On. I think they're pretty expensive to buy.

Just watching her on the BBC's Glastonbury coverage. To me she lives up to the hype and more. Absolutely mesmerising performance. Really happy, simple melodies, great voice and a quirky style too.

Q slated her album calling her overhyped and disappointing. The Independent, The Guardian and the The Times loved her, however. I'll listen to it soon. From what I've heard, she's very good. I loved her outfit on Jonathan Ross.

I love Remedy, Stuck on Repeat, Meddle and Earthquake. I've seen some of the Glastonbury footage and she's really great live!

overyhyped is definitely my assessment. she sounds exactly like lady gaga,really. to me,the songs lack quality....they're quite ambitious with the use of the electronic equipment,but they all leave me feeling empty. it just doesn't seem like she has quite the electronic touch like say a goldfrapp,ladytron,miss kittin,peaches,the knife/fever ray...

I like the song much more than the video.

I'm so sick of Little Boots. I loved "Stuck on Repeat" but her other songs just aren't as great

Anyway, LB was on Something for the Weekend just now talking about how she found success, her music, her instruments and what she's got planned for her tour. Might be worth watching on iPlayer (about 30 minutes in) if you like her.
