Liu Wen

People on Weibo said Liu Wen would be in a new Burberry campaign (a la last season’s Outerwear). Or was it supposed to be the Anniversary campaign? Maybe it’s an entirely diff thing to be released later for the summer.

Look like Brokaw cast LW for both JWA and Chemena debuts, strategically. Hope her presence at Dior won’t be relegated to just that one time. Not a whole lot of veterans in the FW26 cast anyway. May Dior won’t be like LV (or Chiuri’s, not against newcomers, but too much is too much and oversaturated), more flexibility at Dior for sure, but who knows, maybe more consistency although only their third show.

According to MDC she did not walk TF or Row meaning she should walk Celine and Miu Miu.

Surprised no shows. Even Schiaparelli didn’t have the usual cameos of OG/Supers (interesting/weird, actually). Gonna pretend that she was shooting something yesterday…

Guess it's true(?). She's done for the season. She may have flown back/landed in China already. Had to be another job or obligation of some kind.

Didn't want to believe it but when she posted on IG and didn't walk Givenchy, that pretty much confirmed the speculation (and hence lack of shows).

If she's done done that'd also explain why her entourage didn't travel with her this season. Probably.

Oh well. Think she won't return to Paris knowing she's booked next week locally too.

She was supposed to fly back to China after walking Gucci according to some social media users, which means BV was not in the initial plan. It was said that around that day reasons unknown delayed the departure till this week, and then the BV invitation was finalized at the last minute. Maybe PFW was also not in the plan to begin with.

Wow, thanks for the context.

One of the things that is certain and quite different from any season and past years, is that her crew (agent, assistant, photog, and beauty team from China) didn't travel along. Usually a couple or the group are present in some capacity.

The Gucci scenario sounds legit - doing three shows or just Prada & Gucci and then heads back home. In and out of MFW. Which makes total sense of not needing her entourage (sad, we might not get a bts vlog).

Why would it take another week to get to her intended destination? Were dates not available? Tons of reasons and theories but whatever not our business, glad she was able to get that sort out.

Happy she took advantage and did PFW.

Wonder what she was supposed to be doing originally. L'Oreal? Olay? Filming a commercial gig or TV stint? Shooting for a Chinese mag? Maybe a family matter?

Hope it's all well.
