Loafers...

I feel like loafers are one of those classic shoes that everyone should have. maybe it's because I'm a fan of the whole men's clothes for women (I like feeling casual). but I have a pair of loafers and although I haven't worn them much this year, it's definitely been pulled out for me to wear, especially now that it's fall.

Loafers are basically the laceless, slip-on alternative to oxfords and brogues. Never have I had a problem with loafers. Most of you may know I'm not really into oxfords and brogues (I don't hate them). So with this, I'm very okay with these loafers. They are also another good option if you prefer the preppy look without going with oxfords or brogues.

I got a pair of G.H. Bass black leather loafers last year. I've been wearing them to death ever since... I initially wanted them for a job that required formal sturdy black shoes but I ended up wearing them almost everywhere, except during winter for obvious reasons, living in Canada. At first I thought they looked a bit too masculine, too preppy, but after receiving compliments from peers I grew to love them.

I usually wear them with dresses paired with heavy denier tights or skinny jeans and colored socks. Never worn them w/o socks...

Now I have an eye on the Weejuns. I like when the design is classic. Don't like added tassles, nor leopard print, nor patent leather...

I wish I had this pair of leopard loafers!

I'm so into masculine fashion right now! I think it's so chic and eclectic.

After an extensive search I finally found a pair of white geox loafers. Man their a pain to keep in proper form though

Anyone have a loafer recs for someone with extremely narrow feet

I bought a pair of burgundy Bass Weejuns from Opening Ceremony with tassles last month and I think they're the best shoes I've bought all year. They're awfully painful to wear when you first get them though even after conditioning. I had blisters all over my feet for a week.

I have this pair from Topshop and they're fantastic for the price, starting to fall apart a little now though as I've worn them to death.

I'm now DESPERATE for a pair of Russell & Bromley Heritage Loafers...

They're on my Christmas list!

I like loafers, but think that the classic pairs kinda limit you. I can imagine wearing loafers only with capris or other pants (top of your choice), but have to say, that almost nothing looks more casual than loafers and light colored blazer. When I hear loafers, I see the whole outfit, not just the shoes

Could any of you help me with Bass' sizing?

I contacted the brand to know which size I should get since I'm usually a size 40-41EU. They told me to get them in 7.5US. I ordered a pair that I received today. Unfortunately, the shoes were so narrow I couldn't push my feet into the shoes. I contacted the website I bought them from to ask what size I should get and they advised me to get a 8.5US, which seems huge when I look at other size charts available on the Internet!

I also have no clue regarding the width! I could get them a size up (8US), but then I have to pick between 8 D (Medium) or 8 3E (Extra Wide). My feet are quite wide but I don't know if they need a EEE!

Gosh, all this is a nightmare!

I don't know if this is of any help but as for women's sizing, I only had to size down a half from my usual shoe size. They felt a bit narrow at first but with a bit of wear they expand a little.
