I went to Loehmanns this past Tuesday and got a camel colored Luella cord jacket for $ 57.00. :woot: It was originally $375.00.I could not believe it.So if you are ever in the DC area. The Loehmanns in Chevy Chase ,Md has the BEST selection of stuff.Habitual,Fendi,Prada ,D & G.Check them out my DC ladies.

all i have to say is, "you go girl!"

there's nothing like finding a steal.

^my local lohemanns always has a ton of marc by mj stuff, and thats just a crappy, small lohemanns. the bigger ones have wayyyy more

i love that store

Thanks masquerade! Sounds great :woot: :flower: I hope they stock the classic mouse shoes - a pair of mine are dying :(

^^i've never seen marc shoes at loehmanns....
the marc stuff is usually marc by marc as well...

i usually also see some pinko.. can't remember other brands at the moment because i usually make a beeline for whatever mj i can find.. :p

Aww :( I'm addicted to the shoes! But the clothes are fab too :D

i wish they had the shoes! but i'll take what i can get... :p

sometimes they have marc by marc bags.. which helps ease the pain :D

i usually see like one pair of marc by marc shoes at a time in loehmanns, thats about it. the shoes arent the best stuff there

my loehmanns also carries a lot of free people, theory, juicy, vince. i cant think of them all, but its a good selection

That's great but isn't Loehmanns is about last season stuff? Well, if for an IT bag then it's okay.

Loehmann's is the BEST store on earth. It's got to be in my top 3 favorite places to shop. I haven't been there in a while but want to go soo bad! No where else can you find Theory tops for $6 each, Magaschoni basics for $10 and jeans marked down to $80. The insider club is amazing, you get an extra 15% off on your birthday if you sign up, and I think you get points everytime you use the card. The sale room is amazing (of course 95% of things in discount stores are last season or older, but if you aren't looking for a super trendy thing, it doesn't matter!).

I've never been able to find anything in Loehmann's, every time I've been in one it's brands I've never heard of, no top names or anything, maybe I'm just not looking hard enough

The big Loehmann's in downtown Chicago has a terrible men's department. There is only one dressing room which remains locked. You have to begrudgingly retrieve a SA to unlock it. Their selection hardly ever changes. They have a lot of Juicy Couture:sick:, Converse by John Varvatos, DKNY, Buffalo Jeans, Paper Denim, some Diesel, some Helmut Lang.

The Loehmann's that I normally go to seems like it has gotten worse over the past few seasons. Last summer I remember finding really nice things there but lately it's very non-designer and nothing spectacularly cute and no "must have" items. I wonder if some companies have started making less product/quantities because of the economy so there isn't as much high end "leftover" or "overstock" items to go to the discount stores. I've also noticed more department stores having lower sale/clearance prices than usual the past few seasons.

the loehmanns near me isn't as good as it used to be either...
the cards they send to my house advertise marc by marc jacobs but when i went into the store i didn't see anything...

sunglasses selection was also a bit on the lower end when i stopped in to return something the other day.

jeans selection looks ok thoough...
i bought a pair of black hudson jeans there a week or so ago...

My mother said she had heard that the buyer at the location near to her had left, and the quality of the goods has taken a real nosedive in the last 2 years or so. I was able to find incredible finds there, including the bags and the clothing brands were varied and very good (even more off the beat ones like Sinha Stanic). All I see lately are ripped, dirty JPG and lots of Theory. Sad. It used to be a great store, but the Backroom has really taken a hit in terms of quality pieces.

^ I know, the backroom seems to be nothing special anymore. It's really sad because I always thought Loehmann's was a fantastic store but now it seems so hit or miss. I think Nordstrom Rack and TJ's has better things. Loehy's also doesn't seem as busy at it used to be, I hope they don't start closing stores.
