Loewe 'Amazona' Handbags 2021 by Juergen Teller

Wow, truly horrendous. Hire a beautiful, beloved actress, give her an attractive $3500 bag to model, and then…. let Teller ruin it with his crackdown aesthetic.

(I like the yellow mask, though)

Céline on crack. He also earns bonus points for making the impossible happen by making Liu look bad.

So much time and thought and money spent on something so ugly and cheap-looking and joyless. God, the fashion industry is such a joke.

Guess we didn't have budget for Meisel on this one... just imagine what he could've done with Gillian or Liu! I'm sure he would've worked well with Úrsula as well, she's beautiful.

Maybe if they hadn’t cast everyone on earth in this campaign, they’d have had the budget to lift it a little. Awful! Awful!!!!

This looks and feels like his Coach campaigns--not the level of luxury his Saint Laurent and past Céline campaigns exude, which I guess can be credited to having actual models. Disappointing because I would expect that more luxurious energy from a Loewe x Juergen campaign. I wonder if he's still photographing everyone remotely? lol

So much potential here with the cast but this is just a mess. What is also with the terrible cropping of the logo?

The only shot that totally works is with Justin Vivian Bond. I wish the whole campaign was in the note of old, rich, WASP-y ladies. It reminds me of Juergen's "The Clients" editorial for W, where he photographed real biggest couture clients for the houses. The Justin shot has the same vibe as Deeda Blair portrait for that editorial. Susanna Moore fits well too I must say.

I guess you have to carry a certain type of self-presentation and elegance to look good and properly wear Loewe. Justin, Susanna, Liu, Anthea and Gilian look good and fit well, but Jamie, Ursula, Tracee, Hyuna and Arca look ridiculous.

He had an amazing cast and made them look like they were in American horror story Asylum
