Elle joue le rôle d'une prostituée amoureuse de L'Epervier, dans la série du même nom qui débute le samedi 18 juin, à 20h35, sur France 3. Entretien

Vous êtes rare à la télé ?
Enchaîner des films indépendants que personne ne voit, ça devient très frustrant. Or, avec L’Epervier, j’avais l’impression de faire un film pour le public. Un film pas snob, fait pour divertir les gens et conçu pour la télé. Bien qu’aujourd’hui, il n’y ait plus vraiment de différence entre la télévision et le cinéma puisque même les longs-métrages sont vendus en fonction de leur futur passage télé.

Que regardez-vous sur le petit-écran ?
J’avoue que je n’ai pas la télé chez moi. Je suis tellement angoissée à l’idée de perdre du temps que j’écoute beaucoup la radio, notamment la BBC car je peux dessiner ou faire autre chose. Mais je crois que les gens sont trop obsédés par le medium. Quand on est créatif, on a envie de s’exprimer d’une manière ou d’une autre quelque soit le support.

Vous semblez avoir eu du plaisir à jouer ce personnage ?
Oui. C’est un des rares tournages que j’ai fait où je trainais sur le plateau après avoir joué mon rôle, simplement pour le plaisir de voir les autres. Il y avait une vraie curiosité enfantine de la part de tout le monde. On avait hâte de voir le moindre décor : à quoi ressemblerait la taverne, etc. C’est amusant de se voir en costume d’époque tout en fumant ou en buvant un coup. On a vécu ce tournage comme une grande fête de deux mois et demi. C’est beaucoup de travail mais pour gérer un tournage de cette taille, il fallait cette énergie et cette motivation !

Avez-vous eu le mal de mer ?
Absolument pas. Tout le monde vomissait sur le bateau mais pas moi. J’ai même appelé ma mère pour le lui dire. J’en suis très fière car mon grand-père était marin.

Votre famille a t-elle aimé L'Epervier ?
Mon fils de huit ans a adoré ! Mais lors du tournage, il devenait dingue quand je lui disais que j’allais travailler en costume d’époque sur un bateau de pirate.

Quel sera votre prochain film ?
Je tourne un film avec Jacques Doillon (son père, ndlr) Un enfant de toi. C’est très excitant mais j’essaie d’avoir le plus de recul possible !

You are rare on TV?

What are you looking on the small screen?
I confess that I did not have TV at home. I'm so anxious at the thought of wasting time I listen to the radio a lot, including the BBC because I can draw or do something else. But I think people are too obsessed with the medium. When you're creative, you want to comment one way or another, whatever the medium.

You seem to have had fun playing this character?
Yes. This is one of the few shoots I've done where I was hanging on the board after playing my role, just for fun to see others. There was a real childlike curiosity on the part of everyone. We could not wait to see any scenery: the tavern would look like, etc.. It's fun to be in period costume while smoking or drinking a shot. We went through this shoot as a celebration of two and a half months. It's a lot of work but to manage a film of this size, you had that energy and motivation!

Did you get seasick?
Absolutely not. Everyone was vomiting on the boat but not me. I even called my mother to tell her. I am very proud because my grandfather was a sailor.

Your family she loved the Hawk?
My eight year old son loved it! But during filming, it was crazy when I told him I was going to work in period costume of a pirate ship.

What will your next film?
I make a film with Jacques Doillon (his father, ie) A child with you. It's very exciting but I try to have as back as possible!

Happy 29th birthday Lou !!

She has an album coming out sometime next year, that will be produced by a family friend (he's worked with Jane and Charlotte in the past) Etienne Daho.
He's a French singer/songwritter.
Apparently Lou's done all or at least most of the work on the LP (writing the music and the lyrics).
