Here's a video of an interview of Lou about her collection for La redoute :

There's a video of Lou for Lee cooper (in which she's talking and singing ( a different song than those you can hear on her myspace)) at

(it takes some time to load, if anyone wants to have it, I downloaded it)
It's such an amazing clip.

I translated the French part for those who care.
She has a very original and flowing way of speaking - you can feel creativity bubbling though her speech - so forgive me if it's the text is a bit weird, it's the way she talks and the way the video was edited.

There are 5 things I designed myself
One I choose from a previous collection and said: ‘We do that but we modify it.’
And 6 things they did based on drawings they saw at my home or stuff I wore
So half of it was consulting and the other half was my work
And we were in a rush because they wanted to do a capsule collection which is kind of a preview collection
I envisioned a character who inspire me more than any other on costume, who amuses me the more and it’s the ‘Artful Dodger’ Oliver Twist who they dressed magnificently with shabby black tie, reprised all over the inside to the point of looking like patchwork
He wears shirts with a mismatched scarf, the overalls and the little boots with side buttons like those I wear
Lots of paintings and movie stills stay with me
I love necks, strong shoulder blades, I love ankles, I love wrists, I love the forearms because I think the curve is so pretty on girls
After seeing the representation of the female form on canvas, on drawings, in museums, in movies, at the home of the costume designers I worked on set with, in books, etc.
You realise that if you handpick details from different time periods and bring them together to create a new look it’s the funniest thing
If you can put a little bit of history in the things you do it’s a good thing

Thanks for the karma , Luca*. :)
I still can't give you karma . :(
