i went to nordstrom's anniversary sale yesterday, and they have the steve madden lalo on sale for $84.90 and in new colors:
these are $89.90

I just got back from that sale too! I got the Michael Kors Raceway pump for $89.90 down from $138.95. I think it's a really well made, comfortable (it actually has padding, so rare these days) copy of the black Bruges.

Sorry for the poor quality. They have a dark brown wooden heel and platform. They're from Office. They're a lot higher than what I'm used to so I'm a bit wobbly on them but I love them so.

Yes I find them very uncomfortable but that may just be because I'm used to wearing flats all of the time. I can stand in them without toppling over, it's just walking that's the problem!

i went up a half size in the leather version of this shoe...
but i'd probably order my size in the suede, since it tends to stretch...

i hope those will come in black...

Oh my god - very similar story:

last week i got invited by a friend of a friend to go to lotus, one of nyc's hottest nightclubs in the meatpacking district. we were put on the vip list and given a free vip dinner with the club's promoter.

i wore my oh deer marilyns and was absolutely FINE trekking across the city and the dancefloor.

but literally the second we get up to leave, i head for the stairs and glance up to see if anybody is coming up the stairs on my side, and my heel catches on a step and i HEAD-DIVE down the entire flight.

i knocked into some drunk dude and his glass shattered on the ground - i was so lucky i didn't get cut by any shards! and i got up and was fine except for a slightly sprained ankle, but i could still walk.

however 5 minutes later my vision started going, the blood drained from my face, i couldn't stand up, and i felt so nauseous. it was exactly like the time i got a concussion - i must have hit my head/spine slightly or jarred my nervous system.

Scary! be careful in your heels girls! Beauty over pain, but not TOO much pain!
