Louis Vuitton F/W 2025.26 Paris

Is it just me or this collection feels like a retrospective? I see elements from his first show, the one at the Louvre's basement, the Palm Spring show, the Centre Pompidou one, the spaceship collection at Cour Lefuel, etc.

Overall, it's a good Nicola's collection. It's quite romantic and modern. And MAS really toned down her styling tricks this time. The tableau at the end is quite cool.

Definitely a retrospective as I've spotted many silhouettes done in the past. It was for me an overwhelming mash-up of all the codes he created at the helm of LV.

It was too much to appreciate most of the looks and it is one of my least favorite collections from him. Some looks were just straight ugly and nothing to save about.

Besides that, he delivered the usual top-tier casting, set design and music.

Maybe my favorite set and in terms of presentation, probably one of his best show at Vuitton. And the non-finale finale was fabulous. Great energy.

I like the collection a lot. I have a biais is the last one standing of my favorite designers in activity.
Is it the best collection by NG at Vuitton? No.
Is it the worst? No, that’s for FW2017.

I got a very nomad feel from it. Since he has been at Vuitton, this is probably the first obvious « travelers » collection he did. I saw characters or rather individuals travelling. Or at least, a sense of activity behind it. Ar those characters from a building that are all going somewhere? I’m interested in the inspirations.

In general, with Nicolas, it’s about a silhouette and here this time, it was more about a feeling. And in that aspect, it’s not maybe as impactful as his previous collections but it’s also probably his most generous one in terms proposition, both in terms of styling and pieces. There is so much in this collection that they don’t need a pre-collection in between.

I had a wow moment when I saw that exquisite black coat in shiny velvet. The fabrics were just amazing. That boot, in cognac color, the dresses felt easy. There was something very easy about this collection even when the styling was pushed.
And finally, the Dora is made in a travel version!

Nicolas looked cute and a bit tired taking his bow. Nevertheless, great show and I’m sure the store managers, Mr Arnault and Beccari are happy about it!

Looks like a Paddington bear collaboration at certain moments. And those are some of the ugliest chunky footwear/wedges I've ever seen. Given that, I still absolutely loved the outerwear.

first thought: the look 56 is actually carried by a real person? I felt so confused. looked like freaking robot or something else.

It’s one of those guys from a K-pop band….Felix from Stray Kids. In case you missed it from those exhausting ig/yt comments ugh

Its a strong collection , he mixed 80s and 40s elements , with a stronger emphasis on 1940s shapes. Great casting and kudos for not using cliched bald black women, loved the opening model, as well models 4 and 5.

Welcome to Korean beauty standards (genuinely, I'm surprised Gong Yoo and his asymmetrical eyes managed to thrive in that space). His ay Kiname is Felix and he's part of a KPop idol group called Stray Kids.

Unpopular opnion: kpop can die already. I wonder if those of us old enough for 90s/00s pop were ever this annoying. J'en ai marre...

I'm with whoever above said they loved the first half and then got bored. He lost me at about look 30ish, that's where it should have ended. Anything before that was exquisite and the NG I love. Some of the dresses seem out of place, like the additional words you add to an essay to meet the word count.

There is a sense of boldness, often with oversized silhouettes, unexpected contrasts and/or accessories. At times the layering flirts with chaos. By using the right fabrics, he was able to give that aura of LV luxury. The shoes are an obvious trick - fancy meets functionality.
