jun3machina, it's so much more sturdier than the original speedy and I love it! I mean, you don't have to fill it to the brim with stuff and it still look good! But I think it will scratch easily, that's the only down side so I have to be really careful with it.

Picked up my Silver Speedy Yesterday

Hi All:

I picked up my Silver Speedy yesterday and I love it even more in person than from pics I had seen. I'm crossing my fingers that I'll win the LV Lottery and also get the Alma in Gold -- my SA says it's looking pretty certain that I will - yoohoo

As someone who had stopped carrying my LV bags because they are so ubiquitous, I am really looking forward to breaking out my new Speedy and blinging around Malibu.

Hope everyone on TFS who wants one, gets one!

When I went to the LV main store in Paris (gorgeous ICONES exhibition!!!)I wanted to buy the pochette and they told me that it was impossible for me to be in the waiting list as I´m not French, each and every one in her country of origin...

Waitlists are very weird ...i was on waitlist for the pochette at Toronto Bloor location and still havent received a call from them, however the interesting thing is i walked into Yorkdale today and there is the pochette staring right at me! So of course i had to get it, but there is a small scratch at the back so now i am debating should i still keep it or take it back, i have to admit though its a lovely bag and reminds me of a chocolate bar wrapped in foil

Yes, it does look like a chocolate bar! Or just a gold bar period. ITs much too dainty for my strong arms. Thats why I always carry big bags, they flatter me more.

SILVER!! and its not exactly a scratch, its from the strap being next to it for a while , so i dont know maybe it will come off, but i would be afraid to rub it, they kept on telling me that the surface is very easily scratched and i should be careful!
