Love #13 Spring/Summer 2015 : Kim Kardashian by Steven Klein

^Samantha Archibald, and another girl

I find that story to be hard to look at. you feature beautiful black girls in your magazine and thats how you style them?

Aya Jones also has a beauty editorial and she has what looks like a detangled pot scrubber on her head

The hairstyles are atrocious. In all fairness no model, black or white, would've been able to redeem these looks. The ethnicity of these girls are irrelevant here.

I actually think that 'butt' concept is something one would see in Vogue Italia, but here, along with all this Kardashian glorification leaves a bitter aftertaste. I feel sorry for Lexi and the other girls embroiled in this mess.

I agree with this.

The "Boobs" editorial is an interesting concept, but placed alongside everything else in this issue it has a different impact. It feels trashier.

I'm really disappointed. Love hasn't been impressing me as much for a few issues now but I think this might be the one that officially tips me towards no longer buying the magazine.

The 'Boobs' story reminded me of something Carine Roitfeld would've done at Vogue Paris, a cheeky and controversial nod towards modern culture. Must admit that the story is the only redeeming quality the entire issue has to offer. Yet I still haven't seen any copies floating around here..

This issue landed here and I noticed most copies had the Kendall/Cara cover whereas the Kim issue was more rare. It doesn't make sense to put here on the cover to create buzz and then not distribute her cover equally.

Yes, that too! Do you remember the pregnancy fetish Carine used to have with Lily? It was very weird, but captivating. Anyway, I'm glad we can actually draw some eccentricities and detail from this without blatantly dismissing it as just trash.

I got this issue today anyway.

I think I might take it as a record or archive and can look back a few years later and see how low this magazine could be (probably a few years later it would be lower  ). Somehow I agree that fashion magazine record what and how our culture and society is.
