It looks like they have got her to bite down with her teeth in these to accentuate the jaw line which she doesn't do in other photos. She should just be relaxed in digitals.
Also I think it's obvious they are trying to make a point about her hair. It should be about the face, and height. Funny how they haven't done a full length shot considering she is around the 5'5 mark. The comments in reply to this photo on social networking sites are like 'nice hair', 'hair goals' which says it all. They should have just tied it all back and put it away. Clearly Select are trying to push her with her hair similar to Jean Campbell. Will be interesting when they want her to cut her hair into a bob and dye it black.

I have to disagree. I find her digitals to be quite endearing.
Her face makes a lasting impression, so hair or no hair, it's all up to the individual, and in her case, casting directors.

I think it's too generalising to incur that Select is trying to push a girl in a similar direction. Truth of the matter is that the girl has booked quite well for herself. You may call it family ties, I call it a certain Northern European allure in her look.

I have had first hand experience in an agency for 1 month in the past. I saw many girls similar to Lucan, that particular look with the long hair etc. One was a similar case to hers, getting work as a child, but the minute she turned adult, (17/ 18) and they knew she wouldn't get to 5'9, 5'10 they dropped her and got in another long blonde haired girl. And I'm not saying the 5'9 that agencies put on a girls card, because the casting directors always take a bit off knowing the agencies lie. I mean her stood bare feet 5'9/ 5'10.
All I am saying is that in normal circumstances with no connections or money involved she would be dropped. Girls development stops a lot earlier than boys. She is about to turn 16, she's not a young girl with plenty of growing to do and you really have to question how much longer they will keep her on and whether the casting directors will want her the minute a girl like her but 5'11 comes along and the minute they see she will not grow. Her look is not the most rare I have ever seen, I just feel she is slightly replaceable thats all.

Lucan looks incredibly short here with (like I said) a very low chance of growing. She even has platform/creepers on adding a couple of inches. Don't really understand what Select are doing lately

Yes, you're right, they get work on online shops like asos. But apart from that, very little. Especially considering there are hundreds of tall girls designers want to book even before they look at shorter girls. There isn't much demand for short girls, kind of the reason that select claim to drop girls 'who do not reach 5'9 by the time they are 18 years of age'.

This thread needs a lot more appreciation for such a beautiful young lady and not so much speculation about her family and her height etc. Its boring.

Anyway, stunning at Vuitton, it was only a matter of time before she made her debut, very well deserved!

Her connections need to be speculated because without them she wouldn't be doing what she is doing with her height. It's kind of important For all we know her father could be throwing money at people for her to have these opportunities. I'm not believing anything I see. Even her scouting story changes every time I read it on different sources. Her work is no indication of how good a model she is.

I find her face to be perfect. Actually, if she has the connections, at least she has a very exquisite MODEL face... unlike some others. I like her and she's perfect for Tim Walker.

She's short, has long blonde hair, connections and was a LV exclusive.. reminds me of Jean Campbell but Lucan is very pretty.

Don't know how far very pretty will get her though, guess we'll have to wait and see!
