I couldnt believe my eyes as I was browsing through SI website, and BAM!! Lucia was there!! I watched 'A model life with Petra Nemcova' and has been rooting for her since!! I remembered in one of the episodes, Diane Smith the editor of SI swimsuit was raving about Lucia's body in one of their photoshoots .. I'm so happy for her!!

I was thinking the same thing. When I saw the swimsuit photoshoot on a model's life I said if any of these people have a brain they'd make sure she was in SI because she has the perfect body for it. She would be good for Victoria's Secret too. She would be better than most of the VS models they have now who are too boney.

I'm going to echo the others and say, me too! That was the first thought that came to mind when I read that she'd be in SI. Glad that encounter/connection paid off for her. Also, thanks for posting the pics.

For all the photos and video that Lucia has on SI.com for this issue, unfortunately she is barely seen...but at the very least, the photos printed are spectacular. She has an amazing figure, perfect for swimwear. Her personality is affable and endearing...certainly the je ne sais quoi that makes her more lovely. Of the "rookies" for this edition, she even outshines the commercially adorable Hilary Rhoda. Of equally impressive note - Lucia has ascended to the lofty rank of my second most favorite Slovakian.

If this appearance doesn't get Lucia's name out to the general population, her photos should at least merit some additional commercial attention. Frankly, it would be a waste not to see her in a campaign. Here's hoping for brighter days ahead.
