i-D Magazine Jul 2020: Favourite new faces at home during the quarantine.

Lulu Tenney, 19, USA
DAILY AVERAGE SCREEN TIME: 2 HOURS 55 MINUTES
Can you tell us: A film you’ve watched... Y Tu Mamá También.
An album you’ve been listening to... I’m listening to the Weyes Blood album, Titanic Rising.
A book you’ve read... I just read The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster, which is actually a novel that I loved when I was younger. My attention span has been so short in quarantine that quick books have been all I can really handle.
A book that you’ve “read” but haven’t actually finished... I need to finish the rest of Elena Ferrante’s My Brilliant Friend series — I read the first two really fast but it’s been a while since I finished the second book, so I feel like I’ve forgotten a lot and I’d be confused jumping right back in.
A meme that’s made you laugh... The Radio Rebel memes have been making me laugh. Especially because I watched that movie when I was younger and thought Debby Ryan’s character was really badass, and it’s just so different seeing it now. Also, @daquan’s Instagram page has great meme content.
An argument you’ve had... There was an argument in my household about people burping... It sounds so silly and it is, but it got weirdly tense and was the biggest argument we‘ve had.
A meal that you’ve made that you enjoyed... We made homemade pita, matzah, and this chickpea dish called lush fatteh.
A meal that you’ve made that you didn’t enjoy... I was really into the healthy “alternative” baking thing at the beginning of quarantine: chickpea blondies, flourless banana bread... all of that. Some were actually really good but some were just kind of sad.
A revelation that you’ve had... I felt like a loser when I realized that I don’t need to see people all the time as I had previously thought I did. I’m actually really enjoying the lack of pressure to socialize and the lack of FOMO in my life right now. There’s no place I feel I have to be, and I don’t have to feel guilty for taking time for myself.
A strange impulse purchase you’ve made online... I bought a foam roller. I’m gonna ask my family for those kangaroo bouncing shoes for my birthday next month. Wait, are Heelys still a thing? Actually I would love a pair of Heelys for my birthday if they’re made in adult sizes.
What you’re going to do when all this is over... Hopefully, I can start college in person when this is all over. I want to go out to restaurants with friends again and roam the city. I want to live in a house with a group of friends somewhere green and beautiful, maybe upstate. There’s a lot I want to do.
