Discovered: "I was discovered back home in Brazil on my way home from school when I was 14."
Highlight of career so far?
"Getting to see the world, meet new people and learn a new language - it’s great to be able to practise my English - modern languages are my passion!"
How would you describe your own style?
It changes all the time…sometimes I can be preppy… other days a rock chick…it depends on my mood."
What are your staple wardrobe items during show season? "Anything which is flattering and comfortable - so lots of skinny jeans and flats (very important as I walk everywhere), and black - a typical model look. I always carry a denim jacket with me."
What new season look will you be wearing? "I love a Brazilian designer called Alexandre Herchcovitch who shows during Sao Paolo Fashion Week."
What are you most looking forward to about Fashion Week? "Experiencing and learning lots of new things. I love the adrenaline rush before you go out on the catwalk."
What big shows/campaigns have we seen you in?
"I’ve only just started modelling full-time since moving to London, but I’ve shot for Exit and Tatler and have also worked with Richard Nicoll and Agent Provocateur. This will be my first London show season so I am very excited!"

Natural de Joinville – SC. Começou a ser modelo aos 9 anos, fazendo curso de modelo em sua cidade. Em julho 2009, aos 16 anos, participou de um concurso de modelos nacional, mas não foi aprovada para a final. Através de um caça talentos, veio para São Paulo numa excursão com quase 10 garotas e entrou no casting da AMZ Models, dizem que os olhos puxados e sobrancelhas separadas lembram os de um gato. Luma é uma das apostas para a temporada de inverno da SPFW.

Discovered after a friend convinced her to enter a model contest, Luma soon moved from Joinville, in southern Brazil, to the bright lights of Sao Paulo. Luma is one incredible find, because this girl does both fierce high glamour and dressed down delicacy with equal expertise. Now based between Milan and London, Luma’s work to date has included Vogue India and a television ad for Agent Provocateur. And it has to be said – Luma is totally luminescent.
