German designer Lutz Huelle showed a collection that was inspired by the seaside’s harsh sun, thus the urban lineup came bleached and distressed. His signature wrapped and draped silk crepe dresses and jackets were worked in big, circular handmade tie dyes, while cotton pants were in a hairbrushed white ombré pattern and worn with asymmetric jackets and tops, the latter in faded striped prints. It all looked as easy to wear as something you’d throw on for a day at the beach.

Agreed...beautiful collection and most wearable for me personally! Lutz is so under-rated.

That white knit with the hole-work says "must-have" in the strongest way. All the knits look very strong; hope that translates to great sales.

Oh, this is very nice. Reminds me of Ingrid Bergman, for some reason.

That draping suit fused with the motorcycle jacket is awesome. It definitely lends the allusion of a sun-bleached surface of a seaside town vibe. Very gently surreal, and magical. The strongest and most elegant pieces weave that sun-and-surf theme so cleverly: The drape of the white top resembles a casual towel thrown around the shoulders; the asymmetric folds of a deconstructed trench looks really cozy, and breezy; that backwards cardigan looks so casual and right... And as always, really dig designers who banish florals and pastels from their S/S collections (although that stroke of pink is very close...). God, I loathe pastels.

I could do without the striped pieces that look a bit on the Sears side of fashion. And the sore-thumb that is the white sweater is a tad too knitting-club for my taste.

Quiet, beautifully-cut and restrained designs that are meant to be worn and will age beautifully.

Thanks Scott for posting!

Always nice to see his work. Glad that he is reissuing this knit.
